«Ми не відкидаємо пропозицію, але ми її і не приймаємо. Ми проводимо серйозні консультації на рівні трьох опозиційних сил. Це наше спільне рішення. Ми приймемо це рішення», - наголосив він.

Він підтвердив, що Янукович «запропонував опозиції взяти частину відповідальності і очолити уряд»: «Ми, м'яко кажучи, не в захваті від цієї пропозиції. Я чудово усвідомлюю, що зараз відбувається в Україні. Країна на межі банкрутства. Вони пограбували країну за останні 3,5 роки до того, що казна держави порожня, країна ними заведена в повний і тотальний хаос. І саме тому вони хочуть уникнути відповідальності і очікують від нас відповіді, чи приймемо ми відповідальність, чи ні».

«Якщо ми скажемо, що ми відмовляємось від відповідальності, вони нас звинуватять в тому, що вони пропонували, щоб ми отримали владу і вели країну до Європи, але ми відмовились. Якщо ми приймаємо цю пропозицію, то вони і люди також звинуватять у тому, що відбувається зрада і таким чином люди не добились того, що хотіли», - зазначив він.

«Будь-яке рішення з цього приводу можуть ухвалюватись виключно фракціями і повинно отримати схвалення людей», - наголосив він.

«Будь-яка відповідь Януковича може лежати в наступній площині – у нас є наші умови, а не ваші. Для країни необхідне підписання Угоди з Європейським Союзом. Тому перша ключова вимога – підписання Угоди з ЄС. Друга – звільнення всіх політичних в'язнів, до яких зараз прираховуються тисячі людей, які незаконно утримують владою. І основним політичним в'язнем в країні є Юлія Тимошенко», - підкреслив Арсеній Яценюк.

Він пояснив, що під час переговорів для врегулювання кризи стосовно частини ключових вимог опозиції було отримано позитивні відповіді.

Насамперед, за його словами, йдеться про звільнення з-під варти всіх активістів у найкоротші терміни, «незалежно від того, чи вони були заарештовані в Києві, чи в будь-якому іншому місті України».

Ще одна вимога стосується «закриття кримінальних справ щодо тисяч людей, по відношенню до яких цей режим порушив політичні справи»: «У парламенті у вівторок повинен бути проголосований закон про амністію, і всі люди повинні бути на свободі. По відношенню до кожної людини повинна бути закрита кримінальна справа без будь-яких правових наслідків».

Наступна вимога, за словами Арсенія Яценюка, стосується питання внесення змін до Конституції: «Ця умова прийнята, але ми хочемо чітко зрозуміти правовий механізм повернення до Конституції 2004 року. Сьогоднішня система влади, яка передбачає концентрацію влади в руках однієї особи, є неприйнятною для країни», - наголосив.

«Що стосується диктаторських законів, які були ганебно проголосовані в українському парламенті, ми наполягаємо на тому, щоб закони були скасовані в цілому. Будь-які пропозиції щодо внесення змін і доповнень до цих законів чи створення робочих груп, ми вважаємо неприйнятними», - підкреслив Арсеній Яценюк.

"We are ready to take the responsibility for the fortune of the country, but under the terms and conditions we do propose" – emphasized Arseniy Yatsenyuk during the briefing at the National Resistance Headquarters commenting Yanukovych’s proposal for the Opposition to lead the government.

"We do not reject the proposal, but we do not accept it as well. We conduct serious consultations on the level of three Opposition forces. It is our joint decision. We will take this decision", – he emphasized.

He confirmed that Yanukovych "has proposed the Opposition to take partially the responsibility and to lead the government": "We, say the least, are not thrilled with this proposal. I am perfectly aware of what is going on in Ukraine now. The country is on the verge of bankruptcy. They have robed the country within the last 3,5 years to the point that the state treasury is empty, the country has been brought by them to the complete and total chaos. And that's exactly why they want to escape responsibility and do expect the answer from us, whether we accept responsibility or not".

"If we say that we disclaim responsibility, they will accuse us that they have proposed us to take the upper hand and to steer the country to Europe, but we have refused. If we accept this proposal, they as well as the people accuse us that there is a betrayal and thus wise people have not achieved what they wanted"– he noted.

"Any decision in this regard may be adopted only by factions and must receive people’s approval" – he emphasized.

"Any answer from Yanukovych may be in the following plane – we have our terms and conditions, but not yours. It is necessary for the country to sign Agreements with the European Union. That’s why the first key requirement is the signing of the Agreement with the EU. Second – the release of all political prisoners, which are reckoned among thousands of people, who are illegally caged by the power. And the main political prisoner in the country is Yulia Tymoshenko", – noted Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

He explained that during the negotiations on resolving the crisis the positive responses concerning the key requirements of the Opposition has been received.

First of all, due to his words, he refers to the release from custody all the activists in the shortest time, "regardless of whether they were arrested in Kiev, or in any other city in Ukraine".

Another requirement is regarding the "closing of the criminal cases against thousands of people in relation to whom the regime has started political cases": "On Tuesday in the Parliament has to be voted the Amnesty Law, and all the people should be released. Regarding every person the criminal case has to be closed without any legal consequences".

The next requirement, according to Arseniy Yatsenyuk, concerns the question of amending the Constitution: "This condition is accepted, but we want to clearly understand the legal mechanism for returning to the Constitution of 2004. The current power system that provides the concentration of power in the hands of one person is not eligible for the country", – he said.

"Concerning the dictatorial laws that were shamefully voted in the Ukrainian Parliament, we insist that the laws have to be abolished as a whole. Any suggestions on changes and amendments to these laws or the establishment of working groups we consider as unacceptable", – emphasized Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
