Arseniy Yatsenyuk calls upon the leadership of Ukraine to support Canada in the election for the non-permanent members of the UN Security Council

Arseniy Yatsenyuk calls upon the leadership of Ukraine to take the election of the new non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for 2021-22 with all the responsibility and to support Canada, Ukraine’s true friend and partner. Leader of People’s Front Party, Prime Minister of Ukraine in 2014-16 stated that in his Facebook post on June 17.

“An important election of the new non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for 2021-22 will be held in New York City today. The United Nations Security Council is the body with the primary responsibility for maintaining world peace and security. It is in Ukraine’s interests for our true allies to be elected to the Security Council,” Arseniy Yatsenyuk wrote.

“I call upon the leadership of our country to take these elections with all the responsibility and to support Canada, Ukraine’s true friend and partner,” People’s Front Leader stated.

Support Canada for the sake of Ukraine, he wrote.

We value all our partners who are competing for the UN Security Council membership, Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated. “But I have no doubt that every true friend of Ukraine recognizes the uniqueness of our relations with Canada.”
