“I believe that one day the Nobel Prize will be granted for the fact that a new world order is established, with no place for tyrants. The tyrants will find themselves a place only in the new Hague or the new Nuremberg. This new world will be free from energy blackmail, it will be free from any dictatorship or tyranny,” said the Chairman of the Kyiv Security Forum, Prime Minister of Ukraine 2014-2016, opening the Honorary Lecture at the KSF of the Nobel Peace Prize laureate Oleksandra Matviichuk, the Head of the Center for Civil Liberties.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized that the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Oleksandra Matviichuk is “a recognition of her, and of millions of Ukrainians, and of the entire country”: “This Nobel Prize is a recognition of the Ukrainian civil society, which back in 2014 at the Maidan came to defend the freedom and Ukrainian independence. The very civil society that led the fight against corruption in the country.”
Civil society, he stressed, has now turned into a grand united Ukrainian nation: “These are our volunteers, this is every citizen of the country who understands the price of freedom and who knows what the Ukrainian state really stands for.”
The Chairman of the KSF stated his belief that the Nobel Prize “will be awarded to the entire free world”: “The free world is the United States of America and the US president, it comprises all the leaders of the member states of the European Union, the free world includes all the leaders of the free world who took to the right and righteous side of history, the ones who support Ukraine’s fight for our freedom and for yours as well. After all, this is our joint fight.”
“I believe that there will be another Nobel Prize, and this other Nobel Prize will be awarded to all the Ukrainian people, the Ukrainian president, to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, to the Ukrainian military command, and most importantly – to our entire united Ukrainian nation. This Nobel Prize will be for peace and freedom of the entire free world, for the liberated Ukraine, for the fact that democracy will overcome the gloom of the russian dictatorship. We will definitely prevail,” Arseniy Yatsenyuk stressed.
The Kyiv Security Forum, founded by Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s “Open Ukraine” Foundation, is the main platform in this country to discuss issues of war and peace, national and global security.
