“History clearly shows that the russian Empire, Bolshevik russia, the Soviet Union, and putin’s russian federation all share one common goal – to destroy Ukraine and restore the axis of evil,” emphasized Arseniy Yatsenyuk, head of the Kyiv Security Forum, Prime Minister of Ukraine in 2014-2016 at the special event of the KSF on November 21 commemorating the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor-Genocide.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized that putin is a direct heir of Stalin, and he implements the policies of Stalin and the Stalinist Soviet empire.
“He wants to destroy Ukraine as the state and the Ukrainians as the people,” emphasized the head of the KSF, stressing that such actions of russia certainly fall within the legal definition of genocide.
At the same time, Mr. Yatsenyuk emphasized, that russia is not alone, and the axis of evil is growing: “It includes, naturally, Iran, North Korea, russia, and terrorist organizations such as Hamas.”
“The major question now is whether we can prevent it. And whether we can bring to justice those who are guilty. The only possible answer is “Yes”. We must do this, otherwise the evil will keep coming back, again and again,” said Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
“Instead of letting the axis of evil grow and spread, it is necessary to expand the free world and democracy. And this righteous fight, which continues now in Ukraine, is a fight for civil rights and freedoms. Even more so, this is a fight for humanity,” he said.
The whole world is closely watching the war in Ukraine and the way it will end, emphasized the head of the KSF: “And the sole possible ending of this war is the victory of the free world, humanity and freedom.”
And this end, Mr. Yatsenyukhe believes, it is necessary to upgrade international law, “starting with the International Criminal Court and ending with other institutions that should be effective”: “How could it be that one of the permanent members of the UN Security Council – russia – blocks a whole series of decisions aiming to protect and safeguard the fundamental principles of the UN Charter.”
The expansion of democracy, in Mr. Yatsenyuk’s opinion, is liaised as well to the expansion of NATO and the EU: “This is the way to protect the Ukrainian people and Ukraine. And this is the way to end the war.”
“When we join forces, there is no force that can overcome us,” the head of the KSF emphasized.
“There is only one option for us – never to give up. This is the best recipe for our victory,” said Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
