The call to provide a new aid package to Ukraine was the key message addressed to U.S. President Donald Trump. Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Chairman of the Kyiv Security Forum and Prime Minister of Ukraine from 2014 to 2016, spoke about this live on Espreso while answering questions in the studio about his conversation with American journalist Laura Loomer.

According to Yatsenyuk, in modern politics, a visit to Ukraine by an influential figure with an audience of millions and direct access to the U.S. president is an opportunity to send clear signals to Washington.

“You have access to the U.S. president. We can win if America is with us. We’re not coming to you with an outstretched hand; do what you did during World War II when you launched the Lend-Lease program: give us a new aid package, and together we will win,” Yatsenyuk said, describing his appeal to Laura Loomer.

He expressed gratitude for the previous $200 billion in U.S. aid, noting that most of that money remained in the United States itself. “Thanks to that military equipment, we managed to hold our ground and repel the Russians. But 70% of that money remained in the United States. That aid package allowed the Americans to completely replenish their stockpiles,” the KSF Chairman added.

Yatsenyuk called the granting of a license to Ukraine to produce missiles for the Patriot system an “unprecedented event,” which, however, does not solve the problem this winter. “It will take three years for us to start producing them, and winter is just a few months away. Every day, Russia launches its ballistic missiles, which can only be shot down by the Patriot system,” he noted.

“You’d be right to say we have no cards left, except for one – we have the ‘Trump card,’” the KSF Chairman said, recounting details of his conversation with Loomer.

“There’s a double meaning here: not just Donald Trump, but ‘tramp card’ – which means a winning card. It’s better for us to have that card than for Putin to have it,” Arseniy Yatsenyuk said on Espreso’s live broadcast.
